Your adventure begins with a pick-up from Kilimanjaro Airport, followed by an overnight stay in Arusha, where you can relax and prepare for the days ahead. The next morning, your safari begins with a visit to Tarangire National Park, known for its impressive Baobab trees and large herds of elephants. It’s a photographer’s paradise, with sweeping vistas and abundant wildlife.

Day By Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arusha → Tarangire National Park

  • Drive time: ~2 hours from Arusha
  • Highlights:
    • Large elephant herds
    • Ancient baobab trees
    • Tarangire River as a wildlife magnet during dry season
  • Activities:
    • Game drive
    • Optional: Walking safari (if staying in a private concession)
  • Overnight: Lodge/tented camp inside or near the park

Day 2: Tarangire → Serengeti National Park

  • Drive time: 5–6 hours via Ngorongoro highlands (or fly from Manyara to Serengeti)
  • Highlights:
    • Iconic savannahs of the Serengeti
    • Prime area for the Great Migration (check seasonal locations)
  • Activities:
    • Afternoon game drive
  • Overnight: Tented camp/lodge in Central Serengeti (Seronera area)

Day 3: Full Day in Serengeti

  • Activities:
    • Early morning and evening game drives
    • Optional: Balloon safari at sunrise
  • Wildlife:
    • Lions, leopards, cheetahs
    • Wildebeest, zebras, giraffes, elephants
  • Overnight: Continue at same Serengeti camp

Day 4: Serengeti → Ngorongoro Conservation Area

  • Overnight: Lodge on Ngorongoro Crater rim (stunning views and cooler temperatures)

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater → Arusha
